Unlike traditional day camps, where campers are required to fit into the predetermined program, we offer your child a most unique way to spend the summer. Camp Horizons nurtures your Kindergarten/First Grade camper with the stability of a traditional camp program in a small group setting with the added excitement of sampling choice activities. We offer your 2nd-through 9th-Grade child the opportunity to create a personalized independent schedule selecting from a wide variety of activities. In a supportive, nurturing atmosphere, Camp Horizons encourages your child to grow - socially, physically, mentally - laying the foundation for a lifetime of self-discovery and independence. Moreover, our convenient location makes us readily accessible. There's less time on the bus and more time for activities. Best of all, Horizons is fun! AT CAMP HORIZONS...

Younger campers, Kindergarten and First Grade, enjoy a traditional program in a small group setting.

Your child will have the added benefit of selecting a few individual activities each day during the last four weeks.


Older campers, Grades 2-9, create their own exciting summer!

Your child will create a personalized schedule every two weeks, selecting activities that hold special interest through our extensive program of electives. We offer campers the unique opportunity to improve their abilities in activities in which they are familiar — or to explore something different for the first time.


Our qualified nurturing staff returns year after year!

We hire staff based on their ability to build character in children and their desire to serve as positive role models. All of our staff receives training in safety, supervision, and problem solving. Many are parents and/or professionals who have many years of camp experience.


Our facility, location and transportation are ideal!

We are fortunate to offer our campers an air-conditioned, indoor "state of the art" facility including an art wing, three gyms, weight room, heated pool, darkroom for photography, music rooms, auditorium, cafeteria, and numerous large classrooms for our extensive indoor program. Our outdoor areas include a football field, nature trail, soccer fields, 10 tennis courts, a softball diamond, an outdoor track, pilo polo fields, and wide open spaces for just about everything else!

We are located on the campus of Newark Academy, in Livingston, New Jersey, directly across the street from the Livingston Mall.

To bring your child safely to and from camp each day, we offer air-conditioned mini-buses with seat belts. A camp counselor accompanies the driver. Our campers spend lots of time enjoying their day and very little time riding the mini-bus.


Throughout the summer, campers participate in special events!

We hire fun filled professional entertainment such as the Harlem Wizards, game shows, hypnotists, and a rock'n'roll band, just to name a few. In addition, we host our ever-popular family rocket launches and family movie nights.
